CHATTOGRAM, Bangladesh (AP) — Ireland skipper Paul Stirling has won the toss and sent Bangladesh in to bat Wednesday in the second Twenty20 cricket international.
Bangladesh won the T20 series opener by 22 runs and is on a four-game winning streak in the format., including a sweep over England.
Ireland has struggled on the tour to Bangladesh and is coming off two big defeats in the completed matches in the one-day international series.
Needing a win to keep the T20 series alive, Ireland has brought in allrounder Fionn Hand to replace pace bowler Craig Young.
It was overcast when the toss was held ahead of the game.
On Monday, Rony Talukdar hit his maiden half-century to help Bangladesh to a 22-run win under the DLS method in the opener. The teams conclude the T20 series on Friday before a one-off test starting next Tuesday in Dhaka.
