DAMBULLA, Sri Lanka (AP) — Afghanistan captain Ibrahim Zadran won the toss and elected to bat first in the third and final Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
Sri Lanka has already secured the three-match series after winning the first two games and will be looking for a series sweep.
Afghanistan is looking for its first win on the tour after losing the only test and the three-match one-day international series.
Sri Lanka has rested Dhananjaya de Silva, Charith Asalanka, Maheesh Theekshana and Binura Fernando to give match time to Kusal Perera, Kamindu Mendis, Akila Dananjaya and Nuwan Thushara.
Afghanistan has called up wicketkeeper Mohammad Ishaq for his first international cap. Gulbadin Naib, Najibullah Zadran and Fazalhaq Farooqi make way for Sharafuddin Ashraf, Fareed Ahmad and Wafadar Momand.
